Campaign Series 001 was the first in an ongoing set of self-initiated creative campaigns produced by FivePluSix — each built around a cultural observation or aesthetic proposition rather than a commercial brief. The series serves as a portfolio of directorial thinking.
The first campaign explored the idea of presence as it relates to contemporary image-making: what it means for a subject to truly occupy a photograph versus simply appear in one. The campaign comprised twelve images, two short films, and a written essay published across channels.
The visual language was built on shadow and threshold — figures at the edge of legibility, spaces that suggest occupation without confirming it. High contrast, minimal colour, maximum weight.
The series generated significant interest from artists and brands seeking direction for projects with a similar sensibility. Two direct commissions followed within three months of launch.
